Based on cut-off yet to be decided by the Directorate of Minorities, letters will be sent to shortlisted candidates inviting them for interview. Cut-off marks, Interview date and interview location will be announced shortly on this website.

Important Instructions for Registered Candidates for Entrance Test to be held on 5th August 2012
 
  1. Please bring your valid Photo ID original as proof to the examination for verification.
  2. Candidates are instructed to report at the exam centre and be seated in the designated room by 10:30 a.m. 
  3. You will be allowed to write the exam only if you have this Admission ticket or its copy with you. (See note below)
  4. Please affix your latest self attested passport photographs in spaces given in the Admission ticket
  5. Please put your signatures in the space provided in the Admission ticket and validate whether the information is correct. If not correct, please bring it to the notice of the invigilator
  6. Please use black/ blue ball point pen for examination
  7. Any candidate found indulging in malpractices will be debarred immediately and appropriate action will be taken against him / her.
  8. For any clarifications, please contact your local district co-ordinator. The contact number of the local district co-ordinator is given in the list of candidates selected for the Test.

NOTE 1: If candidates have not received your Admission ticket, but their name appears in the list of registered candidates, only then they can appear for the test. Candidates must note down their registration number from the list that has been uploaded, bring 2 passport size photos along with the other documents as given in the list above to the designated test centre.

NOTE 2: WALK IN CANDIDATES WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO TAKE THE TEST

Applications received have been scrutinised and Hall tickets are being despatched to eligible candidates as per scheme norms. However, many addresses are incomplete. The list of candidates registered for exam will be put up on the website in the first week of August.

 
Pattern of Entrance Test
The test will have objective type questions covering Indian Polity, History & Economy, Current Affairs, General Science, Mental Ability and Logical Reasoning etc. similar to the pattern of the civil services examinations. In addition, it will also include two short essays on general topics.
 

 Scheme of Pre-Examination Coaching for Minority Candidates for UPSC/KPSC Civil Service Examination 2012-13

NOTIFICATION - Dated 5 June 2012

The Directorate of Minorities, Government of Karnataka intends to sponsor students from Minority Communities for Pre-Examination Coaching for UPSC/KPSC Civil Services Examination 2012-13

  • Applications are invited from candidates belonging to minority communities of Muslims, Christians, Buddhists, Sikhs, Parsis & Jains who are eligible to appear for the above examinations of 2012-13 for Pre-Examination Coaching for preliminary and Main examination.
     
  • Selection of candidates will be done by an objective type test and essay which will be held during July 2012.
     
  • Selected candidates will be sponsored to institution of their choice at New Delhi / Hyderabad / Chennai / Bangalore etc for UPSC and at different places in Karnataka for KPSC.
     
  • The Pre- Coaching fee for all the subjects will be paid by the Government of Karnataka, Minority Department and also a stipend of Rs. 5000/- per candidate, per month for places outside Karnataka and Rs. 3000/- per month per candidate for places within Karnataka will be paid during coaching period for one year to the selected candidates.

Note

  • The annual income of the applicant’s parents/guardians’ should not exceed Rs. 2 lakh per annum.
